Ewa Okolowicz 1979 Szczecin, Polonia.

Painter, ilustrator and creator of animation videos. Okolowicz studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland and the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Faculty of Fine Arts of San Carlos in Spain, where she graduated in 2007. Specialization in Animation in 2008 at the same University.

Ewa has exhibited in galleries and museums in Poland, Spain, Germany, UnitedStates, Chile, has participated in artistic residencies and workshops in Poland, Germany, Hungary, Chile and has shown her cartoons at festivals in Spain, France, Holland, India.

 She has carried out projects collaborating with visual artists, musicians and writers as an individual exhibition Landscape´s secrets and dynamics at ewagallery_puertonatales, Chile 2018, Transatlantyk at Casona Sanchina, Rancagua, Chile 2013, Pictorial leaks. Chromatic concert for a blank canvas  at the Kessler- Battaglia Gallery in Valencia, Spain 2012, Ryby at Color Elefante Gallery in Valencia, Spain 2010.

 The journey, traveling, renewing continuously has infuenced the images, themes and supports. Her works are inspired mostly by landscapes, focused on intangible elements such as light, wind, fog, cold or loneliness.

No matter how different, her paintings, drawings and animations have always a common point: the chromatic asceticism and allusion to the transience of life.

 In 2014 Ewa exhibited her works made during her stay in Magallanes Patagonia-objet trouve at the Biennal of Art Roomart Migracions Visuals, La Nau Museum in Valencia, Spain. In 2016 participated in collective exhibition Patagonia minimalista at the Galpón Patagonia Cultural Center, Puerto Natales, Chile.

Currently lives and works in Puerto Natales, Chilean Patagonia, where in 2017 founded the most southern art gallery on Earth:  ewagallery_puerto natales.
